Katie & Brett's Wedding | Sterling Hotel Sacramento, CA

It was a beautiful Autumn day... the sun was shining bright and warming the cool morning air. On this day, two people would be married.

It all began at Sacramento State University when Brett studied Engineering while Katie studied teaching. Both of their paths crossed through Track. He was a pole vaulter and she a gymnast.

Katie and Brett were married at The Wedgwood Sterling Hotel in Downtown Sacramento, transporting you back in time to the gorgeous Victorian era. As Katie walked down the isle with her mom, there was no denying the absolute love and affection written all over Brett’s face as he stared into his bride’s gleaming eyes.

Form vs. Function? I think not! Why not both? Katie was one smart cookie when she decided to wear these ADORABLE flats down the isle. Sparkling, pearly, and cushioned…what more could a girl ask for?

My favorite part of a wedding… seeing the Groom’s face as he gazes into his Bride’s eyes for the first time. Pure emotion and love filled Brett’s eyes as Katie and her mom walked down the isle.

So much excitement and love.

These guys seriously had me cracking up... I love my job...

The Sterling Hotel in all of it's glory. This downtown mansion was fabulous to photograph in. Every corner of the estate had a piece of history waiting to be explored.

After all of the family portraits, it was time for my model couple to shine in the spotlight once again...

We found a wonderful little corner upstairs, hidden away where they enjoyed peace and quiet with each other before heading back out to all of the excitement...
